What P25B1 means

P25B1 is stored when the ECM determines that the pressure within the reductant (DEF/AdBlue) supply circuit has fallen below the minimum threshold required for accurate dosing. The reductant pressure sensor continuously monitors circuit pressure, and if it reads below the calibrated lower limit during a commanded dosing event, this fault is triggered.

Low reductant pressure can prevent the injector from atomizing DEF properly, resulting in incomplete NOx reduction across the SCR catalyst. The ECM may suspend DEF injection to protect the injector nozzle from thermal damage caused by inadequate flow and will log this code along with illuminating the MIL.

Causes range from a depleted or frozen DEF tank to a failing pump, blocked filter, leaking supply line, or faulty pressure sensor. In cold climates, DEF freezing at approximately -11 degrees Celsius is a common trigger. Most systems include a tank heater to thaw frozen DEF, so a heater circuit fault may be an upstream contributor. Persistent low pressure will eventually trigger an emissions derate.
