What P02A9 means

The PCM tracks fuel trim adjustments and oxygen sensor voltages; when cylinder 4 consistently reads richer than expected compared to its neighbours, the PCM sets P02A9. A leaking injector can drip raw fuel into the combustion chamber during engine-off periods ("after-drip"), causing hard starts and hydrostatic lock risk, or it may leak while running, washing cylinder walls and diluting the oil film on piston rings. Can a leaking injector cause an oil change to be needed sooner?
Yes. Fuel leaking past the injector seat drips onto the piston and can work its way into the oil sump, diluting the lubricant. If you detect a strong fuel smell in the oil or the oil level appears artificially high, change the oil immediately and fix the injector.
Will cleaning the injector fix a P02A9 leak?
